According to sources, the soldiers allegedly leaked information to the Boko Haram terrorist group about the deployment of soldiers from maimalari barracks back in April of this year, which led to an ambush and killing of soldiers of the 101 battalion.
The Nigerian Military is now conducting an investigation and revisiting all the sites to see if they can find clues as to how and why the terror group found out about the secret operation.
This new information is reportedly breeding mistrust and confusion within the higher ranks in the Military.
The suspected soldiers will be charged with criminal conspiracy amidst other crimes.
