I haven't seen  it yet, {hopefully today} but according to Forbes.com, the World War II Tank-set drama is a solid hit and the biggest movie of Friday and maybe the whole weekend. The $68 million release from Sony opened last night with a solid $8.8 million and is on track to reach $25 million which was the prediction going into the opening frame.

According to bbc.com, a huge, green inflatable sculpture is causing an outrage in the city of Paris for its resemblance to a sex toy. The artist,Paul McCarthy, who is an American, was even slapped on the street by a stranger because of this particular work.

The court in Lagos State has upheld  Lagos State ban on wearing hijab in schools. The Muslim Students of Nigeria, had sued the Lagos State Government through their lawyer,Chief Gani Adetola-Kazeem, but lost as the court upheld the ban.
