According to TMZ, the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner report states that Joan Rivers cause of death was a result of lack of oxygen to the brain while under propofol.
Joan Rivers was undergoing throat surgery when she went into hypoxic arrest, which is basically deprivation of oxygen to the brain. The medical examiner called her cause of death a ' predictable complication'. Joan Rivers died exactly six weeks ago. May her soul continue to rest in peace.
