WHO Declares Senegal Ebola Fee!
The World Health Organization has declared the country of Senegal Ebola Free. This decision was reached by WHO, after the country had reached the benchmark of 42 days- twice the maximum incubation period without a new case.
A similar statement is expected from WHO, for Nigeria, on Monday after passing the same threshold. WHO commended Senegal for their diligence in stopping the spread of the virus in their country . With the trend of the virus still on, WHO expressed that Senegal is still susceptible to new infections because of its geographical location and the virus being imported.
