revealed that they will be pursuing an appeal against the paralympic and Olympic track star over the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Oscar Pisturius,27, just began serving his 5 years prison sentence after being found guilty and sentenced on Oct.21 for manslaughter, over the death his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
The trial judge, Thokozile Masipa ruled that she didn't have enough evidence to convict him for murder and therefore convicted Oscar Pistorius for manslaughter. The prosecutors, as we are finding out , are not happy with the five years prison sentence and manslaughter conviction, thus they are appealing against the conviction and sentence.
The National Prosecuting Authority made this decision today through their spokesman Nathi Mncube. The appeal details have not been released.
