According to elle.com, some people are loosing their minds over Amal Clooney's decision to drop her maiden name for her husband's name. Amal who got married to George Clooney in a lavish wedding last month in Venice, dropped her maiden name, Alamuddin for Clooney and generated a storm of backlash as a result.
Her critics feel like a woman in her position, with a great job and the fact that she got married at the age of 36 , should have kept her maiden name to show that powerful and successful women are not less than the men they marry.
